Don Michael Lazarus serves as General Counsel for Addicus, providing senior management with effective advice on company strategies and their implementation. He also manages the legal function and obtains and oversees the work of outside counsel.
As an advisor, Don Michael provides legal advice and guidance on operational, financial, and administrative activities undertaken by Addicus. As a representative, he serves as the point of contact for all legal matters impacting the company. As an attorney, he performs a variety of specific legal services and supervises other legal professionals, paralegals, and legal secretaries providing these services.
While attending the University of Mississippi School of Law, Don Michael was a law clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Keith Starrett. He clerked for several other law firms and was admitted as a limited practice student attorney with the Mississippi Innocence Project.
Upon graduation from law school, he started his law firm, The Law Office of Don Michael Lazarus, PLLC. The firm handles a multitude of cases in various areas of the law for individuals and businesses across north Mississippi.
Don Michael also provided legal assistance to the indigent as a public defender and served as an adjunct professor at Northwest Mississippi Community College, where he taught legal research within the school’s paralegal program.
In addition to his legal pedigree, which includes in-depth knowledge of the law and regulations, negotiating skills, and litigation experience, Don Michael endeavors to be more than just a lawyer for Addicus.
